Spring!

Hello :D It's SPRING!

*jumps up and down*
It's still pretty cold, but the sun finally started to break through the dark clouds!
I've also notices some veryyy cute little lambs, who make me feel very happy. Animals just give me a warm and happy feeling inside. That's one of the reasons I chose to support the WWF on Socialvibe :] It's a sad thing one of the little polar bears in the zoo died yesterday :(

Another thing which makes me happy, is that last week is finally over! I had some tests and because of that I was worn out.
But yesterday I could sleep untill my energy was filled up :]
That's what I love so much about the weekends, you can do whatever you want and get back to full energy again. Ofcourse it isn't always possible to relax during weekends, because you have to study for exams, work or something else, but that makes the next free weekend you get even more relaxed! :]
That's probably one positive thing about school or work, it makes you feel more gratefull for free days.
So today I'm gonna look into my new books. I bought 2 Japanese-English books, displayed on the pic below :D It's a sort of preparation before getting into the university (H)
I've been neglecting Japanese for too long. I blame school for it >=[ oh well, I blame school for almost everything that happens. xD
Talking about school, throughout the year I made a painting as an artproject, and just recently made a picture of it, so here it is! We had to combine two different styles and make it into our own style. Mine is like a combination between surrealism and manga. I know manga isn't really an art movement, but i really like to draw in mangastyle, so I decided to use it, as it has to become your own style. I also have a pretty weird imagination and sometimes come with really surrealistic ideas, so i chose surrealism as my second style.
Some of my classmates also said: 'that painting is so Tine' so I guess I succeeded in making my very own style :D
(Because I got my inspiration from Kishimoto Masashi's manga, you'd probably recognise things that resemble things from Naruto, well, that is if you know about Naruto.)
As always, you can click on the pictures to enlarge them :]

Ps. When you're bored, you can play hangman on the right :D

Studying/work

Konnichiwa~

(Japanese for good afternoon ^^)
As most of you know already, since i talk a lot, I'm gonna study Japanese culture and language! I'm looking forward to it :] But in order for me to get to the university, I have to graduate from high school. That's why I'm about to study science now.
daikiri desu! (I hate it!)
Next week is gonna be very busy with studying. =[
I also have to work too, so it's gonna be long days with only a little of sleep. (well, you probably already know i never sleep that much, though)

Speaking about work, when i was working with Charlotte (who was pretty bored)
she drew me things! Thanks xD they're displayed on the picture below.
I also included drawings i had lying around.
On the cat one i wrote 'neko' in Japanese characters. Neko means cat btw, if it wasn't obvious already. The rest doesn't need an explanation:p

Twilight

Hello again!

I just posted out letters to 2 of my penpals ^^
It's always supercool to write or receive snailmail!
Like the word snailmail implies, it might take a while, but it's way more personal then emails or whatever :]
I love to decorate my letters with stickers and drawings and I love buying things to send along too.
I actually bought some really cute stickers for my next letters today too:D
Whenever I find a package on the doormat that's send to me personally, it's really cheering me up! It's like a miracle to receive a package from someone across the world.
It really makes me happy every time ^^
Ofcourse it's expensive when you compare it to free e-mails, but the fun is much greater too :]

I decided to post my drawings i make on this blog, so here is one already!
I've copy-drawn it from the movieposter from Twilight.
I normally don't draw realistic people, but I gave it a try. ^^

SocialVibe

Introducing....

Me! Hello, my name is Martine.
I'm starting this blog because i'm really bored and I don't feel like doing my usual things.
Most of the time when i'm on my laptop, you can find me online on msn,
while I'm either reading manga, watching anime or watching Jdorama.
I've got a whole routine when i start up my laptop.

I check my email, check for updates on onemanga.com and read the updates, go online on msn, check www.mychemicalromance.com for new updates,
and i faithfully collect my points on SocialVibe every day :]
which is an awesome site btw.

SocialVibe.com is a wonderfull site which lets you collect points for the sake of a charity you choose.
It doesn't cost any money, only a bit of your time. The sponsors, that you can choose yourself too, will be responsible for donating the money to your cause, equal to the points you have collected.

You can already collect points by daily logging in, change your status, answer the question of the day and some other little stuff. There's also another way of collecting points, by getting people to visit your site with the sponsors posted on them. It's like getting rich while sleeping, but then the money goes to your prefered charity. Isn't this one of the most perfect ways to help the world little by little? The internet has made our life way more convenient. Let's make other lifes more convenient too, by using just a little of your time.

Think about it: Hasn't the Internet saved a lot of your time, by giving you all the information (for example, all the bookreports you ripped off from the Internet) while only a few decades ago they actually had to put in a lot of effort to get all this information out of books?
You could at least do something for the people or animals or whatever charity you want to chose, with just a tiny bit of the time the internet spared you.
Grab your chance, give back now!
